Ed Whipple, the vice president of pupil affairs will be stepping down on July one.
Whipple will be leaving the University to serve as a senior fellow in Washington D.C. at NASPA– an organization for college student affairs administrators in greater education, in accordance to an electronic mail by President Carol Cartwright.
Whipple has been at the University since 2004 and served to build the programs for the new Union.
Cartwright will support potential president, Mary Ellen Mazey in choosing an interim vice president of university student affairs, in accordance to the e-mail.

  Ed Whipple, vice president for college student affairs, has declared he is leaving the University July one to serve as senior fellow with NASPA – the leading association for the pupil affairs profession, in accordance to an announcement to the University neighborhood nowadays by President Carol Cartwright. NASPA’s headquarters are in Washington, D.C., along with the other nationwide higher education associations.
            She stated that considering that employed by BGSU in 1994, Whipple was instrumental in drawing attention to the value and value of out-of-classroom experiences at the University. She stated that she would operate with incoming president Mary Ellen Mazey on the leadership transition in College student Affairs.
            While at Bowling Green, Whipple assisted lead the work to develop the Bowen-Thompson University student Union in the late 1990s, Cartwright stated, and was effective escalating the target on multicultural affairs and heightening the campus’s awareness of diversity issues.
            NASPA is an business of more than twelve,000 student affairs experts.
